The service
LIRA is a personal audiobook and EPUB player. You can import your own files, browse selected public-domain Discovery content, listen or read on your device, and optionally generate on-device transcripts. An optional Sign in with Apple profile and an optional Lira Pro subscription are available in the app.
Your content and rights
- You are responsible for the files you import and for having the rights to use them.
- Do not use LIRA to store or play material you are not authorized to use.
- Public-domain Discovery sources are provided as a convenience; availability and licensing details remain with those projects.
- If you add a display name or avatar, you are responsible for that content. Do not upload images you do not have the right to use.
Optional account
Sign in with Apple is optional. It creates a LIRA profile (name and avatar) stored with Supabase. You may delete the account in Settings at any time. Deleting the account does not automatically cancel a Lira Pro subscription — cancel that separately through Apple.
Lira Pro subscriptions
Lira Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription purchased through the App Store. It unlocks the premium features described in the in-app purchase sheet. Core listening and reading of books you import does not require a subscription.
Plans
- Lira Pro Monthly — auto-renewable, billed every one (1) month.
- Lira Pro Yearly — auto-renewable, billed every one (1) year.
The price for your Apple ID country or region is shown in the App Store product page and in the purchase confirmation sheet before you pay. Prices may vary by location and are charged in the currency of your Apple ID.
Auto-renewal and Apple billing
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the selected plan.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, if one is offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
How to cancel
Cancel through Apple, not through LIRA support email:
- On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → LIRA → Cancel Subscription.
- Or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions and sign in with the same Apple ID.
Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep Lira Pro until the current paid period ends. Uninstalling LIRA does not cancel the subscription.

Acceptable use
Use LIRA only in a lawful way. Do not attempt to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or use it to infringe someone else’s rights.
No warranties
LIRA is provided “as is.” Features such as Discovery catalogs, model downloads, transcription quality, Sign in with Apple, Supabase profile sync, Lira Pro status, and third-party content availability may change or fail without notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of LIRA, including lost data or interrupted listening. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
